BHOPAL — Madhya Pradesh cemented its growing status as an emerging technology destination after drawing more than ₹15,400 crore in firm investment proposals during a dedicated semiconductor summit held in the state.
This capital infusion arrives as central and state authorities across India aggressively compete to capture global microchip manufacturing supply chains. By cultivating a favorable business climate and offering targeted incentives, the regional administration aims to reduce the country's reliance on imported electronics.
According to reports by The Hindu, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav disclosed that beyond the primary figures, the government evaluated expressions of interest valued at roughly ₹5,800 crore that carry the potential to yield approximately 10,000 direct employment opportunities for the state's workforce.
Moving forward, state machinery will focus on translating these provisional proposals into operational manufacturing units through streamlined bureaucratic clearances and targeted infrastructure support, signaling a transformative leap for the regional economy.
